54th Bn. Sashastra Seema Bal Bijni has constructed a Waiting shed for the villagers at Chukrungbari



News Desk: 54th Battalion, SSB, Bijni deployed on Indo-Bhutan international border has constructed a Waiting shed for the border villagers at Chukrungbari market under the area of responsibility of BOP Kahitamapathar. Today on 28.03.2023 the waiting shed has been handed over to Shri Laxman Swargiary, Village Headman of Chukrungbari village by the Commandant, 54th Bn, SSB, Bijni. 


In his speech the Deputy Commandant Shri Munesh Kumar  informed that the economic and social development of the villagers takes place through the Civic Action programmes. The main objective of this programme is to include the border village in the main stream of development and develop a sense of security among the citizens. In the aforesaid programme,  In-charge of BOP Kahitamapathar, Shri Ajit Das (Chairman Chukrungbari Market Committee), Nachir Uddin (Chukrungbari Village), other subordinate officers/jawans, local villagers and other local populace were present. 


In addition to the above program,  a Toilet block constructed under CAP(NE) Region for the girls students in the area of resposibility of BOP Labdanguri, handed over to  Shri Bhabendra Nath, Head Master of  Janakalyan L.P. School, Labdanguri(Distt-Baksa) by the Commandant,54th Bn, SSB today. In the aforesaid programme, Shri Indresh Kumar, Asstt. Commandant, Sh. Ranjan Lahiri, Village Headman (Mainmata village), Sh. Tankeshwar Das, Secretary of Koliya Thakur Namghar, other subordinate officers/jawans, other school teachers, local villagers and school students were present.

Local villagers,  school teachers & students and other populace have appreciated  such public welfare activities undertaken by 54th Bn. SSB, Bijni.
