State Govt. Employee will have to work in different departments ! Cabinet took decision today

News Desk, NE Post: The Cabinet meeting was chaired by Chief Minister Dr Himanta Biswa Sharma at Janata Bhawan today. The meeting took several important decisions.

The second railway entrance will be constructed on 45 bighas and 9 lechas of land under the Assam State Transport Department at Paltanbazar. Instead, the Railways will transfer equal level land under their jurisdiction to the Government of Assam at Jalukbari.

Meanwhile, minister Pijush Hazarika has announced at the end of today's cabinet that a new ordinance will be promulgated to bring mobility of work among the state government employees. After the promulgation of this ordinance, the employees of one department may have to perform duties in one department while the other department may have to perform the duties of the other department.

However, however, the employees will get their salary from the department where they were first appointed. Retirement will also be taken from that department itself. The new bill will be introduced in the upcoming assembly session.

Another important decision taken by the Cabinet today was to give special concessions to retirees of the army in the purchase of land. These people will get tax relief of up to 75 per cent if they buy land. However, they will only get this benefit once in their lives.
