Manas National Park will be closed for tourists !

News Desk, NE Post: The Manas National Park, a World Heritage Site, will be closed for domestic and foreign tourists. The national park's field director Baibhav C Mathur said in a statement. Elephant safari and river rafting will be closed from 15th May and jeep safari will be closed from 5th June. "As every year, Manah National Park is closed to tourists at this time," said Baibhav C Mathur, Field Director of the national park. In view of the environmental situation, it has been decided to stop river rafting from May 15 as the water in the Beki river is receding due to the arrival of monsoon. Also, elephant safaris are closed across Assam as soon as the month of May begins. But with the completion of two years of the state government, it has been decided to extend 10-12 days to the closure of elephant safaris from May 15 in Manas. On the other hand, during the monsoon, the national park has a high number of grasslands and some road-damage problems, so like other years, the jeep safari was closed on June 5. It is to be noted that the national park will be reopened to tourists after three months.
