CBSE Class 12 Results Declared: Guwahati Records Lowest Pass Percentage at 83.71%
This year, the overall pass percentage stands at 87.33%, which is lower than the previous year's pass percentage of 92.71%. Trivandrum recorded the highest pass percentage at 99.91%, while Guwahati ranked last with a pass percentage of 83.71%.
The CBSE Class 12 exams were held from February 15 to April 5, 2023, across 6,759 centres nationwide. Out of the 1,660,511 students who appeared for the exams, 1,450,174 passed. The pass percentage of girl students is 90.68%, which is 6.01% higher than boys.
To avoid unhealthy competition among students, CBSE will not award first, second and third divisions this year. Instead, the board will issue merit certificates to 0.1% of students who have scored the highest marks in different subjects, as per an official of CBSE.
