The government has banned 14 messenger mobile applications

National Desk, NE Post:
The Union Government has again taken a tough stance. 14 messenger mobile applications have been banned. The decision was taken on the advice of the security and intelligence agencies.

The messenger mobile application was used by terrorists to send secret messages in Jammu and Kashmir. The terrorists used these messenger mobile applications to communicate with their supporters and on-ground workers.

The messenger mobile applications banned by the central government include Crypviser, Enigma, Safeswiss, Wickrme, Mediafire, Briar, BChat, Nandbox, Conion, IMO, Element, Second line, Zangi, Threema and others. Intelligence agencies claim that the messenger mobile application was used by terrorist groups in Jammu and Kashmir to communicate with terrorist groups on Pakistani soil.

In the past few years, the government has been trying to shut down the communication networks of terrorist organizations that have been carrying out terrorist activities in Jammu and Kashmir. The apps that have been blocked have servers in different countries, making it difficult to track them.
