Hardik Sarma awarded Child Artist Scholarship by Ministry of Culture, Government of India



Digital Desk, NE Post: Hardik Sarma has been nominated for the Child Artist Scholarship under Cultural Talent Scholarship Scheme for the year 2022-2023 from the Center for Cultural Resources and Training (CCRT) under the Ministry of Culture, Government of India. Hardik Sarma has been learning the art of Puppetry from Binita Devi, a resource person of NCERT, CCRT and SCERT and National Tagore Research Scholar from the Ministry of Culture, Government of India.

Hardik Sarma is a sixth grade student of Delhi Public School, Guwahati and is also taking two years of training in acting and puppetry at Surojit Academy. Child artist Hardik Sarma has also acted in educational video of National Council for Educational Research and Training (NCERT) of Government of India and voiceover for puppetry videos of State Council of Educational Research and Training (SCERT) of Government of Assam. He has also performed in several national level cultural programs under the Government of Assam and India and acted in several short films under Surojit Academy. Hardik Sarma has also acted in some plays under the direction of Sambhu Gupta and National Senior Fellowship awardee Simanta Sarma. Hardik Sarma has been acclaimed for his acting and puppetry as well as performing music on various cultural stages. Hardik Sarma is the only son of Simanta Sarma and Binita Devi of Assam Engineering College campus.
