Box Office Collection: 'JAWAN' Earns Rs. 240.47 Cr. worldwide in two days

Digital Desk, NE Post: Shah Rukh Khan's most anticipated movie of the year 'Jawan' has collected Rs 240.47 crore worldwide gross in two days, the makers said on Saturday (September 9).

"In just 2 days a 'handsome' Rs 240.47 crore worldwide gross box office collection," the production house Red Chilles Entertainment posted on its official social media pages.

The movie collected Rs 129.6 crore worldwide gross on Day 1, making it the biggest opening day in the history of Hindi cinema globally.

On Friday, the film collected Rs 110.87 worldwide.

'Jawan' is a high-octane action thriller which outlines the emotional journey of a man who is set to rectify the wrongs in the society.

Released in theatres on Thursday (September 7) in Hindi, Tamil and Telugu, 'Jawan' received positive reviews from film critics and fans and its IMDb rating stands at 8.1/10. Over 29,000 people have voted for the film on IMDb since its release.

Apart from Shah Rukh Khan in a dual role, the film directed by Atlee also stars Nayanthara, Vijay Sethupathi, Deepika Padukone (billed as a special appearance), Sanjay Dutt (special appearance), Priyamani, Sanya Malhotra, Ridhi Dogra, Sunil Grover, Kenny Basumatary among others. The music is composed by Anirudh Ravichander.
