Central Bureau of Communication's Two-Day Awareness Programme in Mayong concludes with vibrant participation
Guwahati: The two-day awareness programme, organized by the Central Bureau of Communication (CBC), Guwahati, under the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, successfully concluded today at Rajamayong, Morigaon. The event featured a thematic photo exhibition centered on Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat, Swachhata Hi Seva, and EkPedMaaKeNaam. Thousands of participants attended the event, which was designed to foster awareness about unity, cleanliness, and environmental sustainability.
The programme included various activities that witnessed enthusiastic community participation. On the inaugural day, a tree-planting initiative under EkPedMaaKeNaam saw students and local residents coming together to promote environmental conservation and a greener future. The second day featured a cleanliness drive under Swachhata Hi Seva, with active participation from school students in the Mayong area, emphasizing the importance of collective efforts in maintaining a clean and healthy environment.
Distinguished guests, including Dr.PhanibhusanNath, Founder Principal of Mayong College; Shri Rabin Kumar Kalita, Head of the Economics Department; and Smt. KabitaMedhi, Assistant Professor, addressed the audience. They underscored the significance of the event’s themes, urging attendees to embrace unity, environmental consciousness, and cultural preservation.
Adding vibrancy to the event, artistes from the CBC Song and Drama Division performed thematic cultural pieces that captivated the audience with depictions of India’s cultural richness. Additionally, a spirited dance competition and traditional games were held, showcasing local heritage and fostering a sense of community spirit.
