Jammu and Kashmir: 6 soldiers injured in IED blast in Nowshera
Digital Desk: A landmine blast was reported in Jammu and Kashmir's Nowshera. At least six Army personnel were injured in a landmine blast near the Line of Actual Control in the Nowshera sector of Rajouri in Jammu and Kashmir on Tuesday morning. The incident took place when a team of Gorkha Rifles was on a routine patrol near Khamba.
The injured jawans were immediately given medical treatment after the blast in Makri area of Bhawani sector. According to reports, the injured have been shifted to the Army Hospital in Rajouri for treatment.

Earlier, on December 9, 2024, there was a blast in Poonch, Jammu, in which a soldier was martyred. A soldier, identified as V Subbaiah Barikunt, was killed when a landmine exploded while he was patrolling at Thanedar Tekri in Poonch, an Army spokesperson said.
In October 2024, there was a landmine blast in Kupwara, in which two army personnel were injured. According to officials, the explosion took place at around 3 am on the Line of Control in Trehgam. At the time of the incident, the area was cordoned off. At least two soldiers were wounded in the blast.
